UNIFEN CO2 cured Alkaline Phenolic Binder Series

UNIFEN binders are CO2 cured, single component alkaline phenolic resins.
Long bench times requested by all users, is the main aspect taken into consideration during development of this binder.
One of the main advantages of UNIFEN series is instant gain of strength during gassing. High curing rates under CO2 flow decreases gassing time, eliminates need for a waiting period before stripping and increases productivity.
With foundries using sand reclamation, alkaline additives in the binders are to be kept at the lowest figures for succesful usage of reclaimed sand for moulds and cores. UNIFEN binders with decreased alkaline amount, increases the quality and the ability of the reclaimed sand to bond without comprimising strength and curing capabilities.

UNIFEN B10

With high instant strength figures during gassing, UNIFEN B10 is specially developed for making of small cores with fast coreshooters.
Low viscosity figures ensure that the sand-binder mixture is properly mixed with the minimal amount of time possible. With lowered mixing times, high strength, lower addition values and longer bench times can be achieved.

UNIFEN B12
Moist and hot operating conditions in coreshops can decrease bench time of miked sand and storage time of the core. UNIFEN B12 is designed to give the user maximum bench and storage time and the ability to use water based coatings without comprimising the core strength.

UNIFEN binder series can be supplied in 65 kg cans , 250 kg drums and 1250 kg IBC containers.
