Clarification Text Regarding Security Cameras Located in Service Areas
This clarification text has been prepared by Unikon Metalurji ve Kimya San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“UNIKON”), acting as the data controller, in order to inform you regarding the purposes of processing your personal data, legal reasons, collection methods, to whom it may be transferred, and your rights within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), within the framework of Article 10 of the KVKK and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfillment of the Obligation to Inform.
Image recording is performed for the purpose of ensuring the security of our service areas with a total of 26 security cameras at our Gebze branch (on the exterior, administrative building corridors, workshops, production area, and parking lot) and a total of 16 security cameras at our İzmir factory branches (on the exterior, tank area, locker room entrance, operation and stock area, cafeteria, parking lot, and security booth). The recording process is supervised by the administrative affairs and IT units.
Your personal data in question is processed automatically based on the legal ground stated in Article 5 of the Law: “data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.” Furthermore, your relevant personal data may be transferred to judicial authorities or relevant law enforcement agencies upon request in accordance with the relevant legislation or to resolve legal disputes.
Article 20 of the Constitution states that everyone has the right to be informed about personal data concerning themselves. Article 11 of the KVKK lists the rights of the personal data owner within the scope of the law. You may submit your requests regarding your rights under Article 11 of the Law in writing to the address Orhantepe Mh. Orhangazi Cd.
