UNISET B1 is a methylformate gas cured alkaline phenolic
binder used for production of cores.
Biggest advantage of UNISET B1 amongst other cold box
systems is that the cores are exceptionally not affected by
humidity or water based coatings.
The cores can have very long shelf lives on every humidity level
in a dust free space.
The casting finishes of the cores are superior to most of the
other cold box systems. The difference in surface finish quality
increases with casting parts with higher modulus.
With the improved bench life, cores with required strength
and required production speed can be achieved. Strength
values of the cores do not decrease during storage.
