It is a chromite based material. Using raw materials having the
highest quality, each batch is produced according to customer
needs to achieve the highest performance. UNI‐NFC B, has a full
performance opening rate at ladles.
Topping Compounds
Tundish Topping Compound UNITOZ TCP and UNITOZ TCP‐D (Basic) ,
is designed to get rid of the inclusions existing both in the liquid and
solid phases to the topping compound with its best density, grain
size distribution and surface tension among the grains. UNITOZ TCP
is performing high insulating features with holding the temperature
drop at minimum level and reaches up to 10‐15 % saving in the
consumption with its superior quality.
Ladle Covering Compound UNITOZ LCP is designed to improve
the quality of the slag and decrease the temperature loss at long
interruptions due to mechanical problems in the plant before the
secondary metallurgy in the ladle furnace. Being chemically neutral
against hot metal does not react and chemically change at high
temperatures. Besides, making the slag chemically more stable
improves the life of the refractory at slag level by avoiding the
reactions between slag and refractory.

Carbon Products
Carbon Raising Granules (Recarburisers) UNIKAR RC is used as
recarburizer in the ladles, as carbon raiser in between charges at the
electrical arc furnace application,and as recarburizing agents at the
foundries.
Carbon Injection Material UNIKAR SA is foams slag by carbon
monoxide and carbon dioxide reactions and reducing iron oxide of
slag to iron contributes to higher yields of scrap to molten steel
convertion and high level of slag maintained helps heat conservation,
develops long arc operation conditions, contributes to low electric &
electrode consumption and as a consequence supports productivity
of arc furnace operation.
